Back Pain

Back pain is a growing epidemic for americans. In fact it’s the most common physical complaint that leads to loss of job and lost job time.

Back pain includes low back pain, middle back pain, and upper back pain. Nerve and muscular problems, degenerative disc disease, and arthritis can result in back pain.

What Are the Causes of Back Pain?

  • Spinal Stenosis

Occurs as intervertebral discs lose moisture and volume with age, which decrease the space between your discs. Minor trauma with spinal stenosis can cause inflammation and nerve impingement syndrome, which can produce sciatica without disc rupture.

  • Back Injuries

Back problems and injuries often occur during recreational activities, sports, work-related, or projects at home.

  • Spinal Disk Problems

Problems with the spine’s discs play a part in back pain.

  • Spinal Degeneration

The result of a neglected or undetected vertebral subluxation, injury, or misalignment. Research shows that degeneration can start 10 days to 2 weeks upon acquiring a subluxation. It will progress until it has completely destroyed the disc and fused the spine.

  • Spondylolisthesis

Is a defect or fracture of one or both wing-shaped parts of a vertebra, can result in vertebrae slipping backward, forward, or over a bone below.

  • Spine Curvature Disorders

Abnormalities which effect the natural curvatures of the spine are misaligned or exaggerated in certain areas, which happens with lordosis, kyphosis, and scoliosis.
