I started seeing Dr. Walkerwicz when I was pregnant with my 4th child in 2003. During my previous pregnancies I have had a lot of pain from pubic symphysis separation. With my 3rd pregnancy it had gotten to the point to where I was unable to turn over in bed. I was having a hard time lifting my legs high enough to put on my pants and it was nearly impossible to get shoes on. I even had to take pain relievers during the last weeks of my pregnancy. When I became pregnant with our 4th child, I read that chiropractic could help with pelvic separation and I thought I would give it a shot. I started seeing Dr. Walkerwicz and the difference was amazing. I only wish I knew about her for my previous pregnancies. The pain was so much less and my mobility was so much better. I never needed any kind of pain relievers. Then after my son was born, I developed a terrible case of carpal tunnel syndrome. I had to wear braces on both of my wrists and I had a very hard time caring for my newborn. The pain was unbearable. My thumb, pointer and middle fingers were completely numb. When my primary care physician diagnosed me he said I may need surgery and made an appointment for a surgical consultation. I decided to see is Dr. W instead, after 1 adjustment the pain was completely gone and after 2 the numbness also went away. I never did need that consult. It has been almost 6 years and I have not had a problem since.
Dr. Walkerwicz also treats our 5 children. They love going to get adjusted. She has successfully treated them for various things such as ear infections, colds, constipation, allergies and asthma, reflux, TMJ and falls. Recently one of our daughters took a hard fall from a bicycle and was complaining of hip pain. I thought it was just from the scrape but when Dr. W adjusted her the pain was gone. Now every time one of them takes a tumble they want to go see "Dubs" so she can fix them up.

I have been a patient at Green Hills Chiropractic Clinic for 20 years.  Dr. Andrea Selby, and Dr Beth Barnett are both extraordinary in their field of chiropractic care.  I can always count on their expertise advice, counsel, and treatment to either heal me completely or they will send me on to someone who can be of help to me.  I have been treated for bulging disc, herniated disc, carpel tunnel, migraine headaches, sinus headaches, and other numerous medical issues.  Before being treated by the chiropractors I was treated with conventional medicine and needless to say only my symptom was treated.  After coming to Green Hills Chiropractic Clinic my medical conditions were treated and cured , not the symptom!!!  I also use Liz Ellerman who is the nutritionist in their building.  She is incredible as well!  She has treated me for high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, and a frozen shoulder.  I can tell you my cholesterol went from 385 to 198 and my blood pressure is normal for the first time in 25 years.  My frozen shoulder is cured and I do not have to have surgery.  I encourage anyone who is sitting on the fence about chiropractic care to please give it a try.  All of my family members, including my husband, my daughter, and my mother all use chiropractic care.  These Doctors will help you "cure" your problems not just treat your symptoms!!!!
Thanks,
Traca

Our daughter, Lillian's, womb position was called 'vertex', a type of breech. Her cord was also wrapped around her neck twice. It was an uncomfortable position for her, and for me, for 4 long months. She was delivered via C-section with a lot of pulling and tugging. In the first two weeks of her life she was the easiest, best-sleeping baby. Then, all of a sudden, severe acid-reflux began, permanent arching of the back during most wakeful hours, constant screaming after breastfeeding, and the carseat was torture for everyone involved. My pediatrician's nurse practioner suggested a pediatric chiropractor. I was a regular chiropractic patient, but a 4 week old? It seemed very unconventional but I was very desperate. And, I'm glad I was because after one visit with Dr. Walkerwicz, her acid reflux was gone. After a few more, Lillian began taking longer naps (she would only sleep 10-15 minutes at a time, or not at all). The screaming stopped, and she became a happy baby again. I can actually nurse her lying down and she rarely spits up. Dr. Walkerwicz explained that 4 months in that twisted position in utero caused her little spine to be out of alignment which put pressure on her diaphram and digestive system. That is what caused the reflux and pain. The adjustments were so gentle that she actually fell asleep during one of her visits. I think that if I hadn't sought pediatric chiropractic care for our daughter she would still be in pain at 12 weeks. I don't know if I could've endured the crying and the pain in her eyes this entire time. The elimination of her pain is truly remarkable and has made parenting enjoyable again.

I served my city for 42 years but was forced to retire in 1999 due to my health.

In the years prior, I had many episodes of asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia. I was hospitalized due to my breathing problems and included visits to the ER on occasion. None of the doctors were able to be of much help but diagnosed me with COPD.

In June 2005 I weighed almost 250 pounds and was bloated due to all my prednisone and antibiotic medicines. I could hardly get around at times due to shortness of breath and weakness, the medicine was taking its toll. I also developed cataracts due to cortisone use and had to have surgery remove them from both my eyes.

When I went to see an old friend to get my glasses changed, he was very surprised and concerned about my condition. He recommended I see Liz Ellerman because he thought she could help me. I was at the point of giving up so I decided to take his advice.

I made an appointment to see her as soon as she could see me. Liz checked me and set up a regimen for me.

On December 25, 2005 I had emergency surgery to repair a perforated sigmoid colon due to diverticulitis and was left with a colostomy but continued to improve. There is no doubt in my mind I would not have survived the surgery had I not had Liz’s help. Six months later the colostomy was reversed. The surgery went well as did a third surgery to repair hernias in the suture line.

I have not had a hospitalization due to my breathing or pneumonia since. I am feeling good with renewed energy and soon will have my 75th birthday. I am  looking forward to more good years.

I thank God everyday for Liz’s care and feel I am alive because of her help.

My son, Brad, had chronic ear problems since he was 3 years old.  These ear problems have not always been with infections, but with clear fluid in his ears, that caused temporary hearing loss.  After several rounds of antibiotics, at the age of 4, he had tubes put in and his adenoids removed.  Those tubes stayed in until he was almost 8.  After they were removed and/or fell out, he continued with off and on ear infections, fluid, etc.  Finally, at the age of 12 we were facing another surgery to have tubes placed in his ear again to help with the fluid buildup and hearing loss.   I was at my wits end, because aside from the ear problems he was having horrible headaches. Really a separate issue from the ears, but an issue none the less and I really didn't want him to have to go through another surgery.

At the advice of my sister, we met with Dr Selby and members of her staff.  She was certain she could help.  We met with Dr Selby on a Monday in December and after just one adjustment, my son's headaches went away and at the next visit with the ENT, the fluid was gone.  My son has been a patient of Dr Selby's since December 2009 and truly is a different little boy.   He rests better at night and has better focus at school because she corrected a problem that I am certain he has had since birth.  No more headaches and he can hear!  His body was simply out of alignment and that caused the fluid buildup and the headaches.  I woulld recommend Dr Selby, Green Hills Chiropractic Clinic, to anyone.  I certainly am glad we gave her a chance.

From personal experience, I want to tell you how terrific the care is from Green Hills Chiropractic Clinic (GHCC). I had struggled with back pain for over 2 years; it was like a knife or sharp finger pressing into my lower back. After a couple years of therapy and medicines from orthopedic institutions, I was getting no relief and was disheartened to say the least.      Thankfully a friend convinced me to go and see a chiropractor. Fortunately, I met Dr. Barnett at GHCC; she rescued and saved me from a miserable experience that was to say the least very depressing. Real life brings pain, and I personally need someone to help that doesn't just think about the drugs, scalpel, and physical therapy. I have had knee and shoulder surgery and from what I understood, there are no guarantees with back surgery. Just the thought of back surgery sickened me. After an x-ray and evaluation of my medical history Dr. Barnett knew exactly what to do. She is a natural teacher and demonstrated to me through x-ray and other diagrams what was causing my pain. I had favored my right side for so long that my vertebrae were encroaching on my nervous system causing swelling and pain. After 10 days of treatment, I felt 25 years old with no back pain. Then to be sure the pain didn't return, Dr Barnett prescribed special insoles for my shoes which balanced my step. As a result, I walk with a more equal gait. My spine stays in better alignment, so no more pain!     I must say I didn't respect chiropractors because I had heard that the orthopedic doctors were more advanced and gave better care. I found out that not only is chiropractic care respectable, but it is more advanced than many orthopedics would lead you to believe. When you are in pain and someone takes it away and helps prevent it from returning, you become a believer. Ironically, I also found out that in Switzerland, orthopedic doctors and chiropractors work together on the same floors.     Another important fact is that GHCC staff is professional and considerate in every way from the front office to the therapists in the back. They have all improved my life and I am eternally grateful. -Parke
